One look at college students’ twitter posts is all it takes to know that everybody experiences times when they need somebody to lean on.
Rachel Mock, one of the licensed counselors on staff wants Tallahassee Community College students to know, “We are here, and we can help with so many of the problems students face during the semester”.
The new office is located in room 141 of the TPP building, which is a set of double-doors that face the student parking garage towards the back of campus. Mock said she not only works with students living with a mental disease but with a great number of students experiencing stress commonly felt during exams.
The office is open for appointments from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and welcomes students experiencing emergencies to walk-in with no appointment every day from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services are free and all conversations will be kept confidential.
The counseling center is a wonderful resource with a kind staff, take advantage of this by stopping by to work through any problem no matter how big or small it may seem.
