Halloween is a time for parties, costumes and snacks. That can also mean a mean a lot of unhealthy foods being eaten. Buying premade snacks can be expensive and can be limited the more last minute they are. Here are some easy to make and inexpensive Halloween snacks that are healthy to eat.
Spiders on a Log: Cut celery sticks into smaller pieces and spread peanut butter in the middles, add plastic spiders to spook up the snack.
Pumpkin Carrots: Cut carrots into pumpkin shape by cutting two pieces to make a stem.
Orange Pumpkins: peel mandarin oranges, cut up a small piece of celery and stick it in the middle to make a stem.
Jack-O-Lantern Pepperoni: cut faces into pepperoni and place over circles of cheese to make a Jack-O-Lantern effect.
Spooky Cheese Sticks: Use a permanent marker to draw ghosts or mummies or mozzarella cheese sticks.
A pairing knife is the easiest tool to use for cutting the small details. These snacks are easy to make and very inexpensive to buy. All items cost under $20 total to buy at the grocery store.
