Tallahassee Community College extends their winning streak to 8 games this season, winning a home game on Tuesday night with a 72-50 win over Hillsborough Community College.
The Eagles’ started the game slowly with a 32 percent field goal percentage in the first half and shot just 50% from the free throw line.
With a crowd roaring dunk from Javien Williams before the half, TCC never looked back going into intermission with a 38-28 lead.
Javien Williams would finish the game with a team-high 21 points for Tallahassee Community.
Corey Douglas was also a monster on the boards for the Eagles, pulling in a team-high 15 rebounds, and gave a rim protector performance adding in seven blocks.
The Eagles’ will look to improve their percentages from three-point range of 17% and the free throw line of 55%.
Defensively, TCC caused 25 turnovers and held Hillsborough Community to 0-9 from beyond-the-arc.
Tallahassee Community College will look to keep their hot streak going at the Jim Grimes Memorial Classic in Melbourne, Fla. on December 1 vs. Snow College from Utah.
