With 546 thousand photos under the tag #milkshake on Instagram, it’s clear that intricate milkshakes are all the “rush” right now.
Local Tallahassee sweet shop, Sugar Rush Bar, offers its customers a variety of enormous milkshakes topped with slices of cake, cotton candy and chocolate syringes.
Since their opening in early January, Sugar Rush Bar has been getting tons of attention due to their monstrous milkshakes.
“Our most popular flavors probably have to be our specialty milkshakes,” said Rene Perez, an employee. “The ‘Cookie Monster’ is a really popular flavor. It’s cookie dough ice cream with frosting, Oreos and Chips-Ahoy! on the outside.”
All of milkshake flavors are created by the owner, who experiments with different combinations.
“Every time a milkshake is brought out, customers are shocked by how huge and decorated they are,” said Perez. “When you see it in person, it’s like a whole different beast.”
Sugar Rush Bar is located at 414 All Saints Street. They are open every day from 3pm to 12am.
