Theatre TCC will be performing a show titled, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time”. The Tony Award winning show revolves around an autistic boy who sets out to solve the mystery of a missing dog.
The show will be held on November 15-17 at 8 p.m., November 30 and December 1 at 8 p.m. and December 2 at 2 p.m. in Turner Auditorium.
Theatre TCC director and show producer Eva Nielson-Parks said she’s excited to produce “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time” because Theatre TCC is the first theater in this region to perform the show.
“We are the first regional production, we got the rights to the show when they were made available,” said Parks. “It has not been done in Tallahassee before.”
“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time” is different from other shows because as an audience member you’ll get to experience the world through the eyes of an autistic boy.
“As an audience member in the show you get to see firsthand what it is like being autistic,” said Parks. “This is one of the many reason why TCC students should come see the show.”
Parks said that all TCC shows are free to all TCC students with their TCC ID.
Gabby Asselin is a seasoned actress who has been casted in “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time”. Asselin says that this show is a true mystery show.
“I’m excited for this show because it keeps you guessing, a true mystery,” said Asselin, an ensemble member in the show. “I like shows that keeps me on my toes, and this show definitely will do that.”
