Creatives, innovators, and learners alike! Check out Art Club at Tallahassee Community College. You’ll be surrounded by others who are passionate about art and you’ll be able to work with all of them to bring your artsy dreams to life.
“TCC students should join Art Club because it’s a great way to express yourself creatively and to get together with other people who also love to create things”, said Cat Lessard, the club president.
TCC Art Professors Julie Baroody and Lilijana Obradovic-Edmiston are the Art Club’s advisers who have worked hard to keep the club going.
The maker-space portion of TCC’s Art Club has been disbanded, but the club has no standard art form. This greatly helps to leave a much broader scope of options for each attending member.
Lessard said members in the making should show up to their first meeting with a good mindset and mental outlook. Soon-to-be members shouldn’t worry about their own talent, as the Art Club doesn’t judge based on how good you think you are.
Professor Baroody urges students to attend the club’s meetings and make use of the artful setting.
Tallahassee Community College’s Art Club holds their meetings at 3pm on Tuesdays. The meetings are held in Room 245 of the CH building.
