Earlier last week, it was officially announced by Tallahassee Community College Athletic Director, Rob Chaney, that Zach Settembre will become the next TCC Men’s Basketball Head Coach.

Settembre becomes TCC’s youngest Head Coach at 28 years old.

“Words cannot describe how excited, grateful and proud I am to be the Head Coach of the TCC Eagles. Our staff will work tirelessly to represent TCC with class dignity and poise.” Settembre said.

In his first season with the team, Settembre was as an assistant coach under former head coach Mark White. The Eagles started off the season 17-2. Unfortunate circumstances came when White stepped down from the team according to Settembre.

Settembre moved forward with the team, leading them to a 22-7 record, just on the outside of the playoffs.

Next season the Eagles look to make a leap into the post-season, competition in the Panhandle Conference will prove to be a test for the team.

“The Panhandle is one of the toughest conferences in America. Every single panhandle game is huge for us.” Settembre said.

With the dog days of Summer approaching, Coach Settembre and his staff continue their recruiting trail and training for non-conference play starting next Fall.
