Tiffany Canseco is a first-year student at Tallahassee Community College who has found a passion for acting.
“I was going to a school that offered drama classes,” Canseco said. “And it turned out that I really, really liked it and I was good at it.”
Canseco, who was born in Miami but has lived most of her life in Tallahassee, shared how acting soon became therapeutic for her. Being in drama class and pretending to be someone else is what Canseco loved about performing.
“It was really impactful for me and it made me want to keep going,” Canseco said.
Her ultimate goal is to be an actress in movies or on TV. But if it takes a while to get her break, her backup plan is to work her way onto a movie or TV set as a makeup artist. She is a licensed cosmetologist and aesthetician.
“I think everything that I’ve done so far, It’s always back to, ‘I love acting’, and that’s actually what I want to do,” said Canseco.
Canseco has big dreams and knows her education can help her further her career in the long run. She is majoring in business and plans to minor in communications. With the support of her parents, Canseco has never questioned her dream.
“I think that they understand the value of having a dream and being able to pursue it,” Canseco said. “Especially if you feel like you have potential.”
