With COVID-19 being a huge factor throughout the Fall 2020 semester, The Talon wanted to know how the coronavirus will be affecting TCC student’s plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas break and how they will be choosing to handle it’s challenges.
Do you plan on going home for Thanksgiving and Christmas?

“Yes, I don’t think I would be able to not be with my family over the holidays.” -Samantha Chase”
Do you plan on traveling somewhere other than back to your hometown?

“Yes, I am going to be in my hometown for Thanksgiving and then visit my dad who lives in Ohio for Christmas.” -Anthony Filone
“Yes, my mom and I are going on a week vacation to NYC.” -Samantha Chase
Do you plan on coming back to Tallahassee in between Thanksgiving and Christmas break?
“Yes, because I pay for an apartment and have a pet cat that is easier to take care of there.” -Kate Wonus
“Yes, because I have work.” -Lien Nguyen
“No, there is not really a point in me coming back since everybody will be home and all my classes are online.” -Anthony Filone
“No, so I can spend time with my family and hometown friends.” -Samantha Chase
Do you plan on getting tested for COVID-19 before going back home or coming back to Tallahassee?
“No, because I already had it.” -Kate Wonus
“Yes, because my grandparents are older and I do not want to risk anything.” -Lien Nguyen
“No, I don’t feel the need too.” -Anthony Filone
“Yes, because I will be traveling on a plane.” -Samantha Chase
Is COVID-19 causing you to change the original plans that you had?
“No, we had always planned on spending the holidays at home.” -Kate Wonus
“Yes, we always have a yearly family reunion in North Carolina but we are no longer going because of COVID-19.” -Lien Nguyen
“Yes, I wanted to come back in between breaks to hang out with friends but now I am not going too because majority of them are just staying home.” -Anthony Filone
“No, I am still able to go on my trip to NYC.” -Samantha Chase
