Tallahassee Community College has unveiled its Cherry Hall Alexander African-American History Calendar in honor of Cherry Hall Alexander.

Cherry Hall Alexander is the former director of Library Services at TCC and the inaugural chair of the African-American History Planning Committee. Alexander was a major key in the revitalization of the College’s African-American History Month activities.

The new 2020 calendar will select 13 residents living in any part of Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson or Gadsden County including the business, nonprofit, government, community grassroots advocacy, education, arts, law or religious sector who have all shown outstanding qualities and traits of leadership in their communities.

A ceremony to honor the 12 recipients and the President’s Award honoree was held on TCC’s main campus in the Turner Auditorium.
