Tallahassee Community College awarded Cook Brothers Inc. $1.6 million to expand their welding program. Using this money, 6,000 feet of space at the Williams Center will be renovated for the welding program. New technology and upgrades will be added to both to give students better on hands experience.
This expansion will also allow more students to enter the program. TCC’s Vice President for workforce innovation Kimberly Moore said there is a great demand for welders locally and all over the state.
