Tallahassee Community College’s men’s basketball team has received an unprecedented amount of hype ahead of their upcoming season. The Eagles finished last season ranked No. 12 in the country and are now ranked No. 1 in the state’s preseason polls.
The team’s promising success can be partially accredited to their star athlete El Ellis. Ellis is the top Junior College prospect in the country and is expected to transfer to Louisville University next season.
While head coach Zach Settembre appreciates the recognition his squad is receiving, the team still has a lot to prove moving forward.
“Our goal is much bigger than being #1 in the preseason,” Settembre said, “We want to be there at the end of the year.”
