Tallahassee Community College, Florida State University and Florida A&M University witnessed a drop in positive COVID-19 tests and anticipate to see a sense of normalcy in the near future.
For the week ending on Feb. 26, TCC said only one student self-reported a positive test and on the week ending on March 5, three students reported positive results, no employees reported positive on either week.
The week ending on Feb. 28, FAMU reported six students and one employee testing positive and on March 8 reported no students testing positive out of 1,190 tests conducted while 10 students remained in isolation at Salley Hall.
During the week ending on Feb. 28, 38 students and one employee tested positive at FSU with a positivity rate of 2.30 percent but saw a drop to 1.44 percent the following week with only 17 students and one employee reporting a positive test.
Recently, FSU and FAMU announced both universities are holding live commencement ceremonies next month and plan to offer mostly in-person courses during the fall semester.
TCC is also expected to increase its face to face classes.
