They brought home gold team awards in both Individual Events and Overall Team Sweepstakes. It is the 21st consecutive year that the team has brought home a team award from nationals.

Notable individual performances included gold awards from Zira Brown in Dramatic Interpretation, Faith MacGregor in Prose, and Madison Reed in Prose. Reed is the national champion in prose with the best cumulative score at the competition. Both Brown and Reed also placed in the individual sweepstakes category, 5th and 4th respectively. Allison Grove also advanced to finals with a silver award in extemporaneous speaking.

Members of the team also received bronze awards in the following categories:  Zachary Boltz – Prose Interpretation and Dramatic Interpretation; Zira Brown – After Dinner Speaking and Duo Interpretation; Faith MacGregor – Communication Analysis and Duo Interpretation; Ryan Moore also turned in excellent performances in Dramatic Interpretation and Communication Analysis.

On Sunday, the team was also honored at the International Public Debate Association National Tournament with a 6th place finish in the junior college division. The award recognizes the cumulative points scored by a college for the entire competitive season.

The two national awards punctuate a season where the Eagles have won both the 2-Year and 4-Year state titles.
