TCC Alumnus, Malik Gary is now the squad leader of the Dream Defenders and has been so since July of 2021. Dream Defenders is an organization that identifies as abolitionists, feminists, socialists and internationalists who work to serve people of color from disenfranchised communities. The organization marched for Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, and even the “anti-riot” bill (HB1).
Malik Gary was a political science major at TCC.
