When I was growing up, I loved to play basketball just for the pure enjoyment of the game it was nothing better than when I would get home from school and finish my homework and my mother would let me go outside to play basketball and me and my friends would play until it got dark, and we couldn’t even see the rim.

But when I look up now, I see the game I once loved being taken advantage off and tarnished by the spoils of money. The youth coming up don’t love the game or see it for its pureness all they see is the dollar signs that come with it.

You have high school students signing multi-million-dollar endorsement deals before they’ve even been on a college campus, and you have kids by passing college altogether and going straight into the pros.

I believe giving children that kind of money and that kind of responsibility so young is wrong. These kids don’t know anything about taxes or saving or anything like that so what do you really think they’re going to do with that type of money?

By taking the money out of the game you’ll be able to put the love of the game back into the sport the real passion back. It’ll put more kids back in school and keep them on the right path for the long run and not just for the quick money.
