Alayna Hoppock, a second-year TCC Nursing student from Destin, Fla., has always been a fan of music, especially country. She finds music peaceful and calming but can also bring out pain.

“I love music so much because it reminds me of my past and how my real father guided that into something I never want in my life and being someone I never want it to be in my life,” she said. “It reminds me of someone who fought for our country but never came out of that. He was never the same person again for our family. Music reflects on the past, the good and bad times. However, I think music teaches lessons and gives you help with choosing right from wrong. Music is a powerful thing.”
