The Tallahassee Community College Office of International Student Services hosted International Education Week at TCC from Nov. 13-16. International Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education “to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences,” according to a U.S. Department of State website.

The week began with the Parade of Nations where students and staff from 15 different countries carried around their national flags. It was followed by the Passport to the World where international students and staff sat at booths representing their different countries, and students had the opportunity to ask different questions in exchange for free Chick-Fil-A.

On Tuesday, Nov. 14, a game day and world trivia event was held in the Student Union Den. On Wednesday, Nov. 15, Student Life hosted Talon’s Craft Day in the Student Union Ballroom. Finally, on Thursday Nov. 16 in Room 123, a brainstorming session was held to discuss the potential successes or failures of Global Education Week and how to improve for next year.
