Brandon “Ken” Brown is the college’s first-ever Mr. TCC. He has made the Dean’s list three times and the President’s list twice. Brown is also serving his second term as the Vice President of SGA while being a social media guru and a celebrity on campus.
Originally from Miami Gardens, Florida, where the sun shines almost every day, it’s no surprise that summer brings out the best of Mr. TCC’s true eye for fashion. He loves to wear shorts and expresses his originality by mixing and matching different brands.
Brown’s definition of fashion is being able to express yourself unapologetically while feeling confident and comfortable in your skin. Typically never a trend follower, Brandon loves to create his own trends and considers himself as a mood board.
Dior is one of Brown’s favorite brands alongside Hermés and Coach. However, he doesn’t believe that you have to wear designer clothes to be fashionable.
Highlighter colors are his favorite, adding a unique touch to his style. Brown admires Tik-Tokers like Aliya Core for her boldness and willingness to step outside of the box. He is also a supporter of Hip-Hop Artists like Saucy Santana, JT and Nicki Minaj.
Brown often refers to one of his favorite quotes from the world-renowned inspirational speaker and author Eric Thomas, “ET.”
“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”
On top of that, Brown also shares a simple motto about how he maintains his glamour.
“As long as you look good, you’ll feel great,” Brown said.
Brown is graduating with his A.A. degree on May 2 and will attend FAMU in Fall 2024, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Awesome job! Keep up the good work.
